Ballina Campervans, Motorhomes & Caravans, and Horizon Motorhomes are front and centre of the Business and Manufacturing landscape and continue to dial up the volume on their business and their branding, year on year.
Owner Clayton Kearney, Managing Director of Ballina Campervans, Motorhomes & Caravans (and Horizon Motorhomes) could hardly contain his excitement after winning two accolades at the Ballina Coast & Hinterland Business Excellence Awards, held on Saturday night.
Clayton was honoured with winning ‘Excellence in Business’ for both BCMC & Horizon Motorhomes presented and sponsored by Commonwealth Bank Australia, and ‘Excellence in Trade, Construction & Manufacturing’ for Horizon Motorhomes presented and sponsored by ZZZ FM, at the gala event held at the Ballina RSL Club.
This recent win, on top of previous wins in the last few years signals the business has come a long way from humble beginnings 30 years ago.
The BCMC business started in 1998 in Ballina, Northern Rivers, NSW as a used car yard. Since then the scale of the business has grown considerably and this year has presented numerous milestones in the business, including celebrating their 30-year anniversary, expanding the business’ RV Service Centre in the Ballina Industrial Estate and more recently they added a new product to their range – Millard Caravans, making them the only retailer of Millard from Tweed Heads to the Coffs Coast.
“We didn’t expect this. It’s heartening to receive these local business awards because it means all the hard work put in by ourselves, our staff and our suppliers is well and truly being recognised,” says Clayton Kearney, Managing Director and owner of BCMC and Horizon Motorhomes.
As Clayton alluded to in his acceptance speech at Saturday night’s gala dinner, “We are so proud to be recognised in the local business community for our achievements. We’ve been in business for 30 years and have been manufacturing motorhomes for 23 years.”
“It’s an honour for the hardwork and dedication we have to our business – it shows we’re continuing to be successful in what we set out to do – which is to be the best in business, for the benefit of our customers, our staff and our team.”
“We’d like to thank Barefruit Marketing who have worked with us across all our marketing, the Commonwealth Bank Australia for sponsoring this award and we’d like to congratulate all of the finalists.”
It has been a big few years for Horizon Motorhomes, making history and winning ‘Manufacturer of the Year’ for three consecutive years at the NSW Caravan & Camping Industry Association (CCIA) Awards of Excellence, which recognises the leaders in the caravan and camping industry. This victory enters them into the CCIA’s Hall of Fame. BCMC are also no stranger to awards taking the ‘Best of the Best’ CCIA award for the second year in 2017.
