Experience the great outdoors in your home away from home
BCMC’s specialty is in providing you with a no hassle, home away from home, in your chosen campervan or motorhome. And don’t think these vehicles are just for camping either. Plenty of BCMC’s customers use their motorhome or campervan as their everyday vehicle. Just imagine popping to the shops, parking with ease in a standard parking space* and when you’re done simply load your fridge with your cold items and take your time in getting home.
Both Horizon and Frontline vans are great for day trips as well as ‘long haul’. Take the van to the river or beach for the day and make use of the awning for shade, the gas outlet for a lunchtime barbecue and the fridge for your cold drinks and food. And when you get tired, you can even climb in for a nap! Most Horizon models also allow the inside table to fix to the outside of the van giving you sturdy dining space (not Melaleuca or Wattle models).
The beauty of Horizon and Frontline vans is how free you are to experience the outdoor lifestyle that Australia offers. Every Horizon motorhome is fitted with a Fiamma awning, which is so easy to use whether you are traveling the country or going on a day trip. Simply turn up, roll it out and grab that beer from the fridge. They’re not suitable for heavy rain or winds so the ease and quickness of putting them up and taking them down is perfect for any unexpected bad weather.
All vehicles are fully self-contained so you are not restricted with having to forward book a campsite – you have everything you need with you so you are free to change your plans at the last minute and set up camp wherever you like. No need to stop and buy meals and refreshments – you have your own tuck shop on wheels right with you.
BCMC recommend you have solar panels and inverters fitted which are not noisy (unlike generators) and allow you to run any 240v appliance, making you completely self-sufficient to free camp.
For the adventurous motorhomer, bike racks can be fitted to all Horizon and Frontline vans, and allow for the rear doors to be opened without having to remove the bikes.
The thing you notice when you sit in a Horizon motorhome is the feeling of space. The large rear doors open completely so you can let the outside in, and if it’s a hot night and you’re parked somewhere safe you could even leave them open and really feel like you’re sleeping under the stars. To do this you might want to consider fitting a flyscreen. BCMC can fit flyscreens to all doors (optional). They use a very fine mesh, which allows you to see out perfectly whilst keeping the smallest of insects at bay.
A motorhome or campervan is for you if you want the ease of no towing and being able to jump in and go, making the whole experience more enjoyable, and getting you settled into your destination quicker. These vehicles allow you more freedom to tour and see our beautiful country. There is no need to forward plan a campsite, and if you tire of one location simply wind in your awning and leave for the next.
