Our cherry crumble recipe is decadent and delicious, a classic crumble with a twist.
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
4 cups cherries
1 cup crumbled cookies (any)
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1/4 cup chopped almonds, toasted
In a small bowl, combine sugar and cornstarch. In a large saucepan, sprinkle cornstarch mixture over cherries; stir to combine. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened and bubbly. Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, thoroughly combine crumbled cookies, butter, and almonds. Add the cherry mixture into a dish. Sprinkle cookie mixture over cherry mixture. If desired, serve with cream.
