Staying Healthy in the Great Outdoors

Tips to make your life more enjoyable in the great outdoors

Here is a really useful article from iMotorhome magazine about staying healthy and safe in the great outdoors, especially whilst on the road in outback Australia. The article covers tips on topics such as, personal hygiene (when water is in short supply), sunburn, flies and other insects.

Two years ago, owner of Ballina-based Horizon Motorhomes and BCMC (Ballina Campervan & Motorhome Centre), Clayton Kearney, set off on a one month adventure, from Ballina to W.A via Alice Springs and the Kimberley’s, to road test Horizon Motorhomes newest addition – the Waratah 4WD Mercedes Sprinter.

Taking his wife and two teenage children with him, he put the his family, the new motorhome and health/safety to the test. Venturing from a beachside town to the red dust and back, they went places he wasn’t sure that the Motorhome could even make. But, with the ‘off-road’ capabilities of the Waratah Motorhome, ‘perfect for the adventurous person who wants to get into more remote areas’, and the following of simple health/safety rules in this article (see article here) their trip was a tremendous success, says Clayton Kearney.

If you want your off-road adventure to be like this follow these simple steps… Click the image below for the full iMotorhomes article.
